Sales of train tickets in China reached a new daily high on Friday, ahead of the week-long National Day holiday period starting on 1 October 2014. According to data from the China Railway Corporation (CRC), a total of 9.69 million tickets were sold on Friday 12 September, the highest level ever seen on a single day. And impressively, 10.8% were sold via mobile channels. From 9-13 September, an average of 8.32m tickets was sold per day.
