Air China boosts international network

Friday, February 28, 2014

Air China is expanding its international network with the launch of flights to five new destinations: Jeju, Yangon, Vienna, Barcelona and Vladivostok. Commencing on 30 March 2014, Air China will launch a new daily flight between Beijing and the Korean island of Jeju, and on the same day it will de-link its existing Beijing-Kunming-Yangon service, to offer a direct flight between Beijing and Myanmar's largest city. This new routing will be operated four times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, using a single-aisle Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Then from 5 May 2014, the airline will launch services between Beijing and Barcelona, via Vienna. This route will also be served four times a week (Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays) using a twin-aisle Airbus A330 aircraft. And finally, on 3 June 2014, Air China will fly to Vladivostok, the largest city in Russia’s Far East. The four weekly services from Beijing will depart every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, using a B737-800.
