China launches North Korea tourist train

A tourist train connecting China and North Korea went into service on Saturday, Xinhua has reported. The new service will offer trips between the city of Tumen, in northeast China’s Jilin province, and North Korea’s Chilbo Mountain.

A total of 65 Chinese tourists were onboard the train’s first service, and will spend four nights in North Korea. The group will visit Mount Chilbo and the city of Chongjin in northeast North Korea, as well as the hot spring resort areas of Kyongsong county.
