A major railway line in western China reopened on Monday. Five days after it was cut off by a landslide. According to the China Daily, trains resumed services on the Baoji-Chengdu railway, which runs between Shaanxi and Sichuan province after more than 2,000 people had been brought in to clear the track.
The 668km Baoji-Chengdu Railway, connecting Sichuan and Shaanxi provinces, includes 304 tunnels and 1,001 bridges.
The landslide occured on Thursday afternoon following days of heavey rainfall.
