In Taunggyi. the capital city of the Shan State. the people celebrate the Tazaungdine festival with Kahtein (offering of monk robes) as well as the releasing up fire-balloons into the sky. Balloons in the shape of elephant. ox. horse. water-buffalo. bird. pig. fish. owl and parrot are released. The Taunggyi festival is the biggest festival in the country. It is attended not only by Taunggyi Citizens but also by people from southern Shan State and many different races. Taungyi's Kahtein tradition is amazing and worthy of reverence.
 

Travel Itinerary

  • Day 1:
    Beijing/Shanghai – Yangon
    • Flight from Beijing / Shanghai to Yangon
    • Welcome by our guide at airport with your name on Placard
    • Only transfer & Check-in At hotel
    • Overnight at Yangon
  • Day 2:
    Yangon – Heho –Taunggyi(By Flight/ Car) (B)
    • Morning breakfast at hotel
    • Transfer to airport for flight to Heho
    • Drivet to Taunggyi,Arrive at Taunggyi(Taunggyi is the capital of the Southern Shan State and it lies 1.430 meters above the sea level and has a moderate climate.
    • Transfer to hotel fro check in,take a relax
    • Visit to Shwe Phone Pwint Pagoda
    • Enjoy Taunggyi Hot Air Balloons Festival.
    • Overnight at Taunggyi.
  • Day 3:
    Taunggyi Hot Air Balloons Festival (By Car) (B)
    • Breakfast at hotel
    • Leisure at the day in Taunggyi

  • Day 4:
    Taunggyyi– Heho – Yangon (Car/ Flight) (B)
    • Breakfast at hotel
    • Transfer to airport for flight to Yangon.
    • Then, transfer to hotel for check in and take a small rest
    • Visit to Bogyoke (Scott) Market where hundreds of  stores and gems shops and you can visit to the Myanmar Artist’s art gallery , you can taste Myanmar traditional costumes , foods ,antiques
    • Sightseeing at Old Colonial building.
    • Then, visit to the Shwedagon pagoda which is one of the most famous pagodas in Myanmar.
    • After that, visit to Royal Karaweik Lake (Palace on the eastern shore of Kandawgyi Lake) to take a photo
    • Cultural Show (Traditional dances, Puppets Show, Elephant dance) in Karaweik Royal Palace Restaurant (Palace on the eastern shore of Kandawgyi Lake).
    • Overnight at Yangon
  • Day 5:
    Yangon Departure –Beijing/Shanghai(By Flight) (B)
    • Breakfast at hotel
    • After breakfast at hotel transfer to Yangon International airport for your onward departure flight
