Experience two sides of modern Korea - the frenetic pace of the capital city Seoul and the calm tranquility of the beautiful island of Jeju. Korea has managed to preserve its unique cultural identity whilst continuing its rapid modernization. The capital city Seoul combines many elements of traditional Korean culture with cutting-edge modernity. Visit the city's beautifully restored shrines & temples including Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Grotto, Chogesa Temple and Gyungbokgung Palace. Experience traditional cultural performances, feisty festivals, folk villages and folk museums all existing side by side with the glitzy buildings that serve as a hub for business, finance and technology. Travel beyond the city of Seoul for a three night trip to the beautiful island of Jeju, and discover an ideal get away destination and an island shrouded in mystery, culture and tradition. Tour the island and take in the Yongduam (Dragonhead rock), Natural Museum, Joongmun Resort, Yemijin Botanical Garden, Cheonjiyeon water fall, Seongum Folk Village and Manjangju Cave.

Travel Itinerary

  • Day 1:
    Beijing/Shanghai –Incheon -Seoul

    Flight from Beijing/Shanghai to Seoul.

    Upon arrival, a guide will meet and greet you at the airport.

    Transfer to hotel in Seoul.

    Overnight in Seoul.

  • Day 2:
    Seoul (B)

    After breakfast, check out of the hotel.

    In the morning visit Gyungbokkung Palace, also known as Gyungbokgung Palace or Gyungbok Palace. First constructed in 1394, it is the largest palace of the Five Grand Palaces built in the Joseon Dynasty. The name of the palace, "Gyungbokgung," translates in English as "Palace Greatly Blessed by Heaven."

    Visit Cheonggyecheon Stream, a modern public recreation space in downtown Seoul. The massive urban renewal project is on the site of a stream that flowed before the rapid post-war economic development required it to be covered by transportation infrastructure.

    Transfer to COEX, the Convention & Exhibition Center in the Gangnam district of Seoul. This is one of South Korea's largest convention and exhibition centers and is situated in the grounds of the Korean World Trade Center complex. Your tour will include a visit to the renowned COEX Aquarium.

    Visit Namdeaemun market, one of the oldest continually running markets in South Korea and the largest retail market in Seoul. The market , located next to Namdeaemun which means "Great South Gate," was the main southern gate to the old city.

  • Day 3:
    Seoul (B)

    After breakfast transfer to Everland, a theme park resort in Yongin near Seoul. It is South Korea's largest theme park and boasts many exciting attractions including a zoo and a water park known as Caribbean Bay.

    Free time at leisure.

    Return to Seoul.

  • Day 4:
    Seoul –Jeju (B)

    After breakfast, transfer to airport for the flight to Jeju.

    After arrival in Jeju, you will begin your tour of the island. First on your schedule is a visit to Yongduam (Dragonhead rock) a clump of jagged basalt rock that resembles a roaring dragon. The rock is steeped in tradition and superstition.

    Visit Jeju National Museum and explore the unique history and culture of Jeju Island. On display are artifacts and relics excavated from historic sites all over Jeju along with objects of historic value from other regions.

    Transfer to Joongmun multi tourism area of Jeju Island and the largest resort of its kind in Korea. Its facilities blend in beautifully with the surrounding nature and the area features many interesting sites. You will also experience the unique backward sensation when driving via the famous Dokaebi road.

  • Day 5:
    Jeju (B)

    Tour of the Yeomiji Botanical Garden that boasts four different cultural gardens and a variety of theme parks. It also includes 2,000 different sorts of tropical & subtropical plants. Regular seasonal events are held for visitors from all over the world.

    Visit Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, one of the three famous waterfalls of Jeju Island. The name Cheonjiyeon means "sky connected with land". At the bottom of the waterfall is an artificial pond that is 20 meters deep, large volcanic rocks form land bridges that allow tourists to pose for photographs in front of the falls.

    Visit Seongum Folk Village, where the unique lifestyle and traditional culture of Jeju Island is presented as it appeared during the 19th century. It features a mountain village, fishing village, botanical garden, market place and an old government building. Over 8,000 folk articles are displayed here such as household equipment, farming instruments, fishing tools, furniture and earthen ware. In the folk performance hall, traditional cultural performances are held twice a day.

    Visit Manjangju Cave, one of the most famous lava caves in Jeju. It is regarded as one of the finest lava tunnels in the world and was formed when parts of a long tunnel caved in. There are many amazing lava columns and interesting formations inside the cave including the lava turtle, a large chunk of lava stone that is shaped like a thousand-year old turtle.

    Transfer to hotel.

  • Day 6:
    Jeju (B)

    Whole day of leisure time to discover Jeju.

    Overnight in Jeju.

  • Day 7:
    Jeju –Seoul (B)

    Freetime at leisure in Jeju.

    Flight back to Seoul.

    Overnight in Seoul.

  • Day 8:
    Seoul – Beijing/Shanghai (B)

    Time at leisure till transfer to Incheon airport for your flight back to Beijing/Shanghai.
