Travel content

Sail the magnificent Yangtze River on our modern ship fully equipped with communication facilities, restaurant, Chinese massage, and shops. All cabins come with modern bath and toilet, along with large panoramic windows. The journey includes three very interesting shore excursions and a visit to the world's largest hydro-electric facility, the Three Gorges Dam. Parents and children alike will enjoy the natural vistas that await them along Asia's longest river.

Travel Itinerary

  • Day 1:
    Beijing - Chongqing
    • Flight to Chongqing and meet your guide at the airport.
    • Transfer to Chongqing Pier and Bording cruise vessel 
    • Standard check in time after 16:00 PM
    • Later in the evening your cruise director will give an introduction about the cruise vessel and the facilities on board.
    • Cruise Vessel leaves from Chongqing around 21:30 PM
    • Overnight on vessel
  • Day 2:
    Yangtze Cruise (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)  
    • Meet the cruise director and learn interesting information about the Yangtze River.
    • After lunch your cruise vessel will arrive in Zhong County where you will have your first shore excursion and visit the Stone Treasure Fortress. This rocky and craggy hill has extremely steep sides and is about 200 meters (700 feet) tall. On the river side of the hill is a red, nine storey pavilion which leans against the hill providing a walkway to the temple at the summit. A yellow doorway at the base of the pavilion provides an entrance.
    • Captain's Welcome Dinner in the evening, followed by a performance of dancing and singing by the crew.
    • Overnight on vessel
  • Day 3:
    Yangtze Cruise (Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner)  
    • After breakfast you will pass the first of the Three Gorges, the narrow "Qutang Gorge".
    • This will be followed by the mythical "Wu Gorge" with its famous mountains and green slopes.
    • After lunch you will disembark for an excursion to the Shennong Stream or similar places. This small tributary of the Yangtze River is the main transportation link for the farmers living in the area. Even today they still use small wooden boats that are pulled upstream.
    • Return to your cruise vessel in the late afternoon. The ship enters the last of the gorges, "Xiling Gorge".
    • Dinner in the evening.
    • Overnight on vessel
  • Day 4:
    Yichang - Beijing (Breakfast)  
    • After breakfast you will disembark from your cruise vessel and visit the massive "Three Gorges Dam". It is the largest hydro-power plant in the world.
    • Return to your cruise vessel 
    • Meet your guide and transfer to Yichang east train station for bullet train back to Beijing
