Travel Itinerary

  • Day 1:
Beijing – Hohhot – Hilamuren Grassland

Take the flight to Hohhot in the morning. Upon arrival, transfer to Hilamuren Grassland by van. Engage in traditional Mongolian recreational activities such as horse-riding and watching horse races, wrestling performances, and ceremonies in honor of Aobao. Your adventure will include a horse ride ( paid on site by yourself) to a herdsman's family to experience life in their traditional Mongolian yurt (please note that in order to preserve the natural environment, motor vehicles are prohibited, and therefore travel to the Mongolian herdsman's family is only possible on horseback). You will also have the opportunity to taste the Mongolian style hand-picked mutton, a popular local specialty. Next, learn the toasting ceremony and watch traditional singing and dancing performances at the bonfire party in the evening.

  • Day 2:
Hilamuren Grassland– Resonant Sand Gorge – Hohhot (B)

After breakfast in the morning, drive to the Resonant Sand Gorge (Xiangshawan), one of the largest sand deserts in the world. Consider participating in some optional activities such as camel riding and sand skiing, great desert activities!

    Overnight in Jinjiang Hotel.

  • Day 3:
    Hohhot- Beijing (B)

Sightseeing in the city of Hohhot after breakfast. Visit the Tomb of Wang Zhaojun and the renowned Dazhao Lamasery, a fine conclusion to your Mongolian experience! Your departure is in the early evening.
