Travel content

Shrouded in mist for much of the year, the mountainous region of Guizhou is very much the path less trodden for western tourists. Guizhou's myriad of ethnic minorities is the most colorful in China which pairs wonderfully with the lush and verdant scenery of the province.

The Lusheng Festival is a magical time of year when all the unmarried men and women of the village gather for this colorful ceremony to choose a partner. The festival features an abundance of bright costumes and decorations, as well as performances of the traditional Lusheng pipes. This tradition is sadly not as common as it once was, so why not take the opportunity to experience this slice of Guizhou life before it disappears completely.
