  • Attention: Kindly note that we stay in places up to 5,000 meters above sea level. Please ask your doctor for advice, if you think that you might suffer from the effects of altitude. However, you will have time to acclimatize. Trips to Tibet require adaptability, improvisation, and flexibility from all travelers.
  • Note also that meals in Tibet cannot match those of the cities in eastern and southern China.
  • Road conditions in Tibet have improved remarkably, although they are still not comparable to well developed areas.
  • Potala Palace has a limitation of 2300 people per day to maintain its preservation. The order of sightseeing may be adjusted according to demand on the day. As a religious site, our guides pay attention to the sanctity of the palace and as a result there are certain limitations on our guides to give spoken tours in all rooms of the Potala Palace.
  • The local travel agencypromises a visit to Potala Palace during your stay in Tibet, but we cannot guarantee a certain time and date due to the high demand at certain peak times.
  • In Tibet, tourist vehicles are not generally installed with Air-Conditioning, please make allowances and dress accordingly.

Travel Itinerary

  • Day 1:
    Tuesday/Saturday Beijing-Lhasa
    • Fly to Lhasa with stopover in Chengdu
    • Arrival in Lhasa, your guide will meet you at the airport .
    • Transfer from the airport to Lhasa City.
    • Time to relax and acclimatize
    • Overnight in Lhasa    
  • Day 2:
    Wednesday/Sunday Lhasa (B, L)
    • After breakfast, guided sightseeing around Lhasa’s cardinal landmark-The Potala Palace. This striking 13-storey building was Lhasa’s Lhasa’s tallest until the early part of the twentieth century. The former winter abode for the Dalai Lamas it is both, magnificent from a distance and visible from many vantage points around the town. As the nation’s supreme treasure, the palace dates back to 7th century A.D.
    • In the afternoon, visit Sera Monastery, was founded in 1419 by Sakya Yeshe, a disciple of Tsongkhapa. The ““Buddhist Scriptures Debate” in Sera is very famous as a place where monks meet to sharpen their wits and explore the deep meanings of Budhist scripts.
    • Overnight in Lhasa    
  • Day 3:
    Thursday/Monday Lhasa (B, L)
    • After breakfast,guided sightseeing of the most revered religious structure in Tibet-Jokhang Temple. Jokhang, the most sacred temple in Tibet, refers to “Buddha’s House” in Tibetan as the main statue is said to have  been made by Buddha Sakyamuni himself. Jokhang Temple is the convergence of Tibet’s Spiritual and secular life, like Mecca for the Muslims, here you can meet all the tribes from Tibetan plateau.
    • The surrounding market is called Barkhor. One of the most important migratory routes for pilgrims, which also serves as a popular tourist destination.
    • In the afternoon, visit Norbulingkha, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama.

  • Day 4:
    Friday/Tuesday Lhasa - Xining (B)
    • Breakfast at the hotel.
    • Transfer to the train station for the train to Xining
    • Overnight by train to Xining
  • Day 5:
    Saturday /Wednesday Xining – Beijing/Shanghai
    • Arrive in Xining train station and meet your guide
    • Transfer to the  airport for the flight back to Beijing/Shanghai
    • End of service
