Travel content

Today, Boracay is one of the Philippines' famed tourist destinations and rightly so, with two fantastic main beaches gracing the opposite sides of its narrow central section. The main westward-facing White Beach is sheltered from the prevailing east winds during the pleasant, almost rainless Amihan season (approximately September to May/June). Stroll the Beachfront Path with fine white sands and shimmering glassy-smooth waters on one side and great restaurants, lively pubs and nightclubs on the other. Meanwhile, on the eastward side of the island, northern and southern hills funnel the season's east winds centrally toward Bulabog Beach where its reef-protected waters are perfect for kite-boarding and kite- or wind-surfing. There are several other quieter beaches, a world-class 18-hole golf course, quad-, mountain- or motorbikes to rent, picnicking at Crocodile Island, diving and outrigger canoe excursions. Annual events include the Funboard Cup competition in January, Dragon Boat races in April or May and an Asian Ultimate Frisbee tournament in the summer! At the beginning and end of your 8 day tour you will enjoy an evening in fascinating Manila, the capital of the Philippines.
