Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts will continues its expansion into China this summer, with the opening of a new luxury resort on the banks of the Li River, in the scenic southern Chinese region of Guangxi.

Located in the ancient town of Fuli, which is famous for its traditional painted fans, Banyan Tree Yangshuo will offer visitors access to the picturesque landscape of limestone 'sugarloaf' hills and winding rivers. According to Banyan Tree, the resort will be designed in the style of a "modern village featuring rich local elements". Banyan Tree Yangshuo will be located one hour's drive from Guilin Liangjiang International Airport and 15 minutes from the town of Yangshuo.
