Changsha to get first European connection to Frankfurt

Tuesday, March 18, 2014

The city of Changsha, in southern China’s Hunan province, will be connected with Europe for the first time this summer, following the launch of a new flight by China Southern Airlines. Commencing on 20 June 2014, Guangzhou-based China Southern will operate a brand new service between Changsha and Frankfurt. The service will originate at Guangzhou’s Baiyun International Airport, before flying to Changsha and onwards to Germany’s financial capital. Flights will operate three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays ) using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Home to approximately seven million people, Changsha is famous for being one of the birthplaces of Chinese communism and is home to a huge statue of Mao Tse Tung.
