Travel content

Travel to the city of Luoyang in central China and visit some of China’s most mystical sites. First, explore the Shaolin Temple, the home of Kung Fu and one of the most important Buddhist temples in China. Next traverse the nearby Longmen grottoes, containing more than 1000 caves and 100,000 statues. Finally, visit what is believed to be the first Buddhist monastery in China, White Horse Temple, before catching your train back to Beijing.

Travel Itinerary

  • Day 1:
    Beijing - Luoyang
    • Take the bullet train to Luoyang in the early morning from Beijing West Railway Station.
    • Train schedule: G651 Beijing West – Luoyang Longmen  07:05-11:07
    • Guide meets you at train station.
    • Drive to Dengfeng in and visit the world famous Shaolin Temple,
    • Watch the martial art show performed by local students.
    • Experience Chinese Martial art at local martial art club.
    • Drive back to Luoyang in the evening.
    • Overnight in Luoyang.
  • Day 2:
    Luoyang –Beijing (B)
    • Breakfast in the morning.
    • In the morning visit the Longmen Grottoes,
    • In the afternoon, visit the White Horse Temple (Baima Temple).
    • Take the bullet train back to Beijing in the late afternoon
