Accommodation in hotels is subject to availability. If the listed hotel is fully booked, alternate accommodation will be offered. All hotel ratings are according to the local accreditation authority.

  • The Tibet permit needs to be applied for a month before the planned travel dates. The documents required for the application depend on the visa/residence permit type of foreign travelers.

A: Regarding to the travelers working in China:
Apply the Tibet permit needs the first copy page of traveler’s passport; the copy page visa to China; copy page of Residence Permit for Foreigner; Statement of Employment and also the traveler’s occupation.

B: Regarding to the inbound travelers:
Apply the Tibet permit which is needed the first copy page of traveler’s passport, the copy page visa to China (visa type should be “L”)

  • Kindly note traveler’s with the profession such as solider, journalist or related personnel working for government, embassy could not apply Tibet permit through travel agency.
  • All the documents need to be sent via mail attachment, you can scan it and then send to us

 

  • The above mentioned rates are subjected to availability.
  • Attention: Kindly note that we stay in places up to 4,000 meters above sea level. Please ask your doctor for advice, if you think that you might suffer from the effects of altitude. However, you will have time to acclimatize. Trips to Tibet require adaptability, improvisation, and flexibility from all travelers
  • Note also that meals in Tibet cannot match that of the cities in eastern and southern China.
  • Road conditions in Tibet have improved remarkably, although they are still not comparable to well developed areas.

Travelers to Tibet still marvel at the strange wonders of this mystically alluring land at the top of the world, which only opened to tourism less than 30 years ago. The sparkling high-altitude air, dramatic mountain vistas, the exotic gloom of mysterious palaces and monasteries, the devotion of monks and pilgrims, and the genuine friendliness of the people, all invite you to embark on your own Tibetan adventure.

Travel Itinerary

  • Day 1:
    (2-OCT-17): Beijing – Lhasa (Dinner)
    • Fly to Lhasa in the morning
    • Arrival to Lhasa airport , meet your guide there
    • Transfer to Lhasa city and check in at your hotel
    • Time to relax and acclimatize
    • Dinner at local restaurant
    • Overnight in Lhasa
  • Day 2:
    (3-OCT-17) Lhasa (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
    • Your amazing tour of Tibet begins after breakfast with a visit of Jokhang Temple. Built in the 7th century, it is considered the most significant religious structure for all Tibetans. Many pilgrims pay homage to their faith at this sacred temple each day.
    • Afterwards, we will visit the incredible Potala Palace - often recognized as the symbol of Lhasa. For many years it was used as the winter residence of the Dalai Lama.
    • The last stop of the day is Barkhor Street. As part of the worshipers' pilgrimage circuit, this area of the Old Town is both the spiritual heart of Lhasa and the main commercial district for Tibetans.

  • Day 3:
    (4-OCT-17) Lhasa (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
    • Full day visiting Norbulinka of Summer Palace and Sera Monastery in the afternoon
    • Overnight in Lhasa
  • Day 4:
    (5-OCT-17): Lhasa - Yamdrok Lake – Gyantse- Shigatse (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
    • After breakfast, we begin our scenic drive to Gyantse, passing by the beautiful Yamdrok Lake. During a stop off in a Tibetan village you will almost certainly be surrounded by curious, laughing children as they come and greet their new guests.
    • Upon our arrival in Gyantse in the afternoon we will visit the monastery, Palkhor Chode, noted for its intricate Kumbum, one of the most important monuments in Tibetan architecture. It is a nine tiered stupa with 108 chapels and superb murals. The Gyantse Fort located high in the mountains offers you a breathtaking view of the city.
    • Transfer to Shigatse in late afternoon
    • Check in at hotel upon arrival
    • Overnight in Shigatse
  • Day 5:
    (6-OCT-17): Shigatse- Lhasa (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
    • After breakfast, you will be driven by car to Shigatse, Tibet's second largest city, to visit Tashilhunpo Monastery. The Tashilhunpo Monastery is the ancient residence of the Panchen Lama, the highest ranking Tibetan monk after the Dalai Lama.
    • Transfer back to Lhasa and enjoy landscape on the way (around 300 KM driving time: around 5 hours)

  • Day 6:
    (7-OCT-17): Lhasa –Xining (Breakfast)
    • Breakfast at hotel
    • Transfer to train station for overnight train to Xining
    • Whole day spent on the train, enjoy the spectacular scenery as we make our tour to Xining
    • Overnight on the train
  • Day 7:
    (8-OCT-17): Xining (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
    • Arrive in Xining in the morning
    • Breakfast at local hotel
    • Transfer to visit Taer Monastery and stroll around local market
    • Leisure time at city center
    • Transfer to airport after dinner at local restaurant in the evening
    • Flight back to Beijing
    • End of service
