Shanghai, Xi’an and Beijing welcome you and encourage you to absorb all it has to offer and appreciate these three cities.

Travel Itinerary

  • Day 1:
    Beijing
    • Meet the local guide in the hotel lobby.
    • Afternoon optional excursion to Summer Palace and Kunming Lake
  • Day 2:
    Beijing (Breakfast / Lunch)
    • After breakfast at your hotel, visit the Sacred Way.
    • Tour the Changling tomb, resting place of the third Ming emperor.
    • Enjoy lunch at a local Chinese restaurant.
    • Next, explore the Badaling section of the Great Wall.
    • Enjoy dinner in a local Chinese restaurant.
  • Day 3:
    Beijing (Breakfast / Lunch)
    • In the morning, you will visit Tian’anmen Square after breakfast.
    • Excursion to Forbidden City with a local lunch afterwards.
    • Visit Jingshan Park and Jingshan Hill, the highest point in Beijing.
    • Visit the Temple of Heaven, dating back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
    • Transfer to train station for overnight train to Xi’an (soft sleeper).
  • Day 4:
    Xi’an (Breakfast / Lunch)
    • Arrival at the Xi’an railway station and transfer to the hotel.
    • After breakfast, climb up onto the Xi’an City Wall.
    • Visit the famous Great Mosque and Muslim quarter.
    • Lunch at a local restaurant.
    • Excursion to the Big Goose Pagoda.
  • Day 5:
    Xi’an (Breakfast / Lunch)
    • In the morning we will see the renowned Terracotta Warrior Museum outside the city.
    • After having lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll return to Xi’an.
    • Visit the Shaanxi History Museum (closed on Mondays).
  • Day 6:
    Xi’an - Shanghai (Breakfast / Lunch)
    • In the morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai.
    • After your arrival, take a stroll along Nanjing Lu and a visit to The Bund.
  • Day 7:
    Shanghai (Breakfast / Lunch)
    • In the morning, wander through the Old City and Yu Garden.
    • Have lunch at local restaurant and then head to the Jade Buddha Temple.
    • In the afternoon, visit the French Concession for a glimpse into Shanghai’s colonial past.
  • Day 8:
    Shanghai (Breakfast)
    • Enjoy breakfast at hotel.
    • End of service
