Near Melbourne, drink in the stunning beauty and the stories attached to the rough and rugged 130 kilometer Shipwreck Coast. Encounter Australian wildlife, touch a koala, feed kangaroos, and walk with the penguins! Besides our arranging for you to experience the unmissable sights in both Sydney and Melbourne, you will also have a full free day in each city to explore the multitude of great options on your own.

  • Day 1:
    Sydney
    • Flight to Sydney independently.
    • Overnight on the flight
  • Day 2:
    Sydney
    • After arrival in Sydney, transfer to your hotel by shuttle bus.
    • Passengers will be met by The Sunbus Driver holding a SUNBUS sign with the logo of a kangaroo with the yellow sun.
    • International Terminal: Proceed to the "The Meeting Point", located between gates A/B in the Arrivals Hall opposite ANZ Money Exchange.

  • Day 3:
    Sydney (B)
    • The Spectacular Sydney with Magistic Lunch Cruise is a thorough introduction to Sydney and its neighbors. This tour combines both AAT Kings morning and afternoon tours to create a full day tour of Sydney sightseeing. In the morning, you will travel to Manly Beach for a wonderful stroll along The Corso to see the beach that had made Manly famous. Along the way to Manly, you will view Darling Harbour and then cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Stop at Milsons Point for spectacular views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Enjoy views from Seaforth Lookout and stop at Arabanoo Lookout for a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy your time at Manly beach before heading back to Sydney. Then it is onto your luncheon cruise. For the afternoon tour, you will tour through the historic Rocks area and take in views of the Opera House, Hyde Park, St Mary’s Cathedral, Parliament House and the Art Gallery. Stop at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair for magnificent views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. See the colourful Royal Botanic Gardens on your way to visit The Gap and enjoy stunning views. Stop at the world-famous Bondi Beach and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Join the coach for your return to Sydney, travelling through Paddington, the exclusive Eastern suburbs and Rushcutters Bay.
    • Magistic Cruises is renowned for setting a new benchmark in Sydney Harbour cruising and you can enjoy all the sights of the city whilst enjoying a fabulous buffet lunch

  • Day 4:
    Sydney Blue Mountain tour (B)
    • Discover the spectacular Blue Mountains with AAT Kings and see native wildlife whilst you explore World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park. This rugged and beautiful region forms part of the Great Dividing Range, linking tropical north to temperate south, while dividing coastal cities from the vast Outback. Pass by Homebush Bay, site of the 2000 Olympics. Discover Leura village, a delightful blend of groomed gardens and quaint shops, enjoy free time to wander the streets of Leura. Next, we stop at Echo Point and see the famous Three Sisters rock formation and hear the ancient Aboriginal legends of this impressive rock formation. Arrive at Scenic World and join the optional Blue Mountain rides - Scenic Railway, Cableway or Skyway (own expense). These rides are a great way to see the steep valleys, canyons and Three Sisters rock formation. Enjoy a short stop at Narrowneck and Cahill Lookouts for impressive mountain scenery. Next we enjoy an afternoon encounter at Featherdale Park and have your photo taken with a cuddly koala, see kangaroos, wombats, dingoes and cute little fairy penguins. Our last stop will be at Homebush Bay, the venue of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Here, you have the opportunity to catch the rivercat ferry back to Sydney and enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Parramatta River (own expense). If you do not wish to join the ferry, hotel drop offs to most city hotels are available; your Coach Captain will ask you at the end of the day where you would like to be dropped off.

    • Transfer to airport by shuttle bus and flight to Melbourne.
    • Passengers will be met by the Sunbus driver holding a SUNBUS sign with the logo of a kangaroo with the yellow sun.
    • International Terminal: Proceed to "The Meeting Point" in the Arrivals Hall, behind the Travelex Desk.
    • Domestic Terminal: T3/Virgin Blue - Driver will be waiting at the Meeting Point at the bottom of the escalator in the Arrivals hall.
    • Note: Should the passengers be unable to locate the transfer driver, please ensure they call Sunbus Sydney on 03 96896888 to locate driver. This information must be passed on to your passengers prior to arriving into Australia.

  • Day 7:
    Melbourne (B)
    • View the popular coastal townships of Torquay and Lorne - a surfer's haven and retreat, with AAT Kings. Pass world famous Bells Beach, home to World Surfing Championships. See many fern filled gullies and river inlets on your journey. Travel the length of the Great Ocean Road passing towering limestone cliffs, sweeping white beaches and stunning forest scenery. Truly one of the world's great scenic coastal drives. Witness a fabulous spectacle of massive natural erosion. Contrasts abound between rugged coast and verdant rainforest living side by side. See the amazing Twelve Apostles - limestone stacks rising dramatically from the Southern Ocean and visit the Information Centre. Walk along the boardwalk and enjoy the scenery from various viewing platforms. See Loch Ard Gorge and be swept away by the romantic and tragic story of love and lives lost aboard the Loch Ard. Explore Port Campbell National Park. Discover the tragic history of over 50 ships wrecked along this rugged coastline. Continue beyond Port Campbell to the remnants of London Bridge. There will be lots of great photo opportunities including Razorback and Island Arch. See the spectacular night lights of Melbourne as you cross the West Gate Bridge.

    • Join an afternoon/evening tour with Australian Wild Escapes. From the city, by-pass Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs before driving through beef and dairy cattle farms, horse breeding studs and swampland. Afternoon tea will be enjoyed at a working dairy farm in Caldermeade on route, before skirting to Westernport to enjoy views of French Island before you'll cross over the bridge to Phillip Island.
    • Recognised as a world leader for environmental conservation, Phillip Island’s sandy and rocky shorelines team with wildlife including over 200 species of birds. Time permitting you can view the local fisherman cleaning their catch of the day whilst battling amongst the fight of gulls and pelicans. It's now time to visit the Koala Conservation Centre. This is one of the few areas in Victoria where you can see a protected koala colony. Walk amongst the treetops in nature reserve bush land and see wild koalas within touching distance. You may spot a wild wallaby or two as well.
    • Enjoy dinner in the township of Cowes before proceeding with the rest of your evening. Time permitting, pass by Swan Lake, the island's largest fresh water lake, and head to the ‘Nobbies’. From this magnificent headland, the views stretch over Mornington Peninsula and Bass Strait. One and half kilometers offshore are Seal Rocks, home to Australia's largest Australian Fur Seal colony. Finally you'll arrive at the Penguin Parade. Each evening at dusk Little Penguins arrive in groups on the beach after a day of fishing. See them waddle their way into the dunes where their burrow nests are situated. You have access to the less populated boardwalks enabling you to gain close contact with the penguins without any hustle and bustle. Seeing and hearing about the penguin behavior, and their daily routines is an amazing learning experience.
